Cloud Automation Software Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Automation Software Engineer to join our global team responsible for designing, delivering, and maintaining automated solutions for our evolving cloud database environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of database management and make a significant impact by developing and implementing automation solutions to streamline workflows and enable self-service products for managing cloud databases (e.g., AWS RDS, Aurora).

The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience as an Automation Engineer; 2+ years in Python automation, proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, Ansible, and PowerShell, and experience designing automation solutions for database workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automation solutions to streamline workflows and enable self-service products for managing cloud databases.
  • Build monitoring systems to ensure performance, reliability, and availability.
  • Develop incident response playbooks and participate in on-call duties.
  • Collaborate with teams, document processes, and drive continuous improvement by leveraging your database expertise to create secure, scalable solutions.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, Ansible, and PowerShell.
  • Experience designing automation solutions for database workflows.
  • Solid understanding of AWS services like RDS, Aurora, Redshift.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like CloudFormation and Terraform.
  • Knowledge of database platforms such as Sybase, SQL, Oracle.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in reading and understanding code.
  • Experience with observability tools like Grafana and Splunk.
