About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child Protection Specialist to join our Leadership Team at C&K Childcare & Kindergarten. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in strengthening our child-safe culture and driving our commitment to child safeguarding and protection.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement our safeguarding framework, systems, and policies to ensure the protection of children in our care.
  • Lead the development of an organisational strategy for end-to-end safeguarding processes, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Contribute to child safety and safeguarding reviews, identifying best practices, highlighting gaps, and recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify areas of potential vulnerability and develop strategies to mitigate risk.
  • Provide advice and guidance to Senior leaders and Executive Management on safeguarding and child protection matters.
Requirements
  • Relevant degree qualification in early childhood education, social work, psychology, welfare, or equivalent.
  • Extensive knowledge of Child Protection related legislation, regulations, and best practice.
  • Proven experience in completing investigations or similar investigatory experience and knowledge.
  • Knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Framework.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly ascertain concerns for children's safety and wellbeing.
  • Active Blue Card and Police Check or willingness to obtain.
