Lead a Safe and Supportive Environment

As a Child Protection Specialist at C&K, you will play a critical role in shaping a safe and supportive environment for children in our care.

This exciting new position, based out of our Kedron central office, will see you:

  • Developing and implementing a safeguarding framework to protect children from harm.
  • Providing guidance and support to child-related staff to ensure they can identify and respond to potential child safety issues.
  • Conducting risk assessments to identify areas of vulnerability and developing strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Providing expert advice to senior leaders and executive management on safeguarding and child protection matters.
  • Conducting root cause analysis of complex incidents and providing recommendations.

To thrive and succeed in this role, the below will also be key:

  • A relevant degree qualification in early childhood education, social work, psychology, welfare, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of the Child Safe Organisation principles and child protection system in Qld.
  • Experience in completing investigations and similar investigatory experience and knowledge.
  • Knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Framework.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly ascertain concerns for children's safety and wellbeing.
  • Active Blue Card and Police Check.
