About the Role

C&K is seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Childhood Behaviour Coach to join our team. As a Behaviour Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting our Kindergartens across Queensland in providing positive behaviour guidance for children experiencing challenges within the early childhood setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with educators to observe and assess children's behaviour, identifying areas needing support, and developing and implementing proactive, child-centered behaviour guidance strategies and individual Behaviour Support Plans.
  • Facilitate professional learning conversations and model positive guidance approaches with Teachers and Educators, ensuring they are supported to effectively engage with families to promote consistency between the home and early learning environments.
  • Encourage a positive and inclusive environment by guiding educators to promote emotional wellbeing and positive peer interactions through a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Ensure behaviour guidance practices and support provided to Teachers/Educators are in line with C&K policies and procedures, Education and Care National Law and Regulations, the EYLF and NQS.
What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone with proven experience in early childhood education, with a focus on behaviour management and positive behaviour support. You'll have sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Standards (NQS), and relevant Australian child protection regulations.

You'll be empathetic and culturally aware, with a commitment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural safety, and foster inclusion and equity in the learning environment.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Valid Blue Card and current Police Check (completed within three months or willing to obtain).
