Senior Metropolitan Product Planner

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven individual to join our team as a Senior Metropolitan Product Planner. This role will provide leadership with insights on key issues that assist SEQ Integration to achieve business targets, objectives, performance measures, safety responsibilities and continually seek to implement business performance improvement initiatives.

This position will support the Manager Product Planning in the annual delivery of the Metropolitan Product Plan and SEQ Corridor Plans, supporting information gathering and analytics to deliver insights and key artefacts within agreed time frames.

The successful candidate will contribute to the development of comprehensive and accurate documentation that provides clear advice and direction on the development of high-quality product and corridor plans for the SEQ Line of Business which reflect organisational and functional strategies and priorities and support the achievement of Corporate Plan capital and operational expenditure targets.

A high level of knowledge of investment planning and governance principles and their practical application within a large infrastructure business is essential for this role. The successful candidate must have strong interpersonal, consultation, negotiation and relationship building skills that build and sustain productive relationships and partnerships with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate as a member of the Governance and Commercial team to provide leadership with insights on key issues that assist SEQ Integration to achieve business targets, objectives, performance measures, safety responsibilities and continually seek to implement business performance improvement initiatives.
  • Support the Manager Product Planning in the annual delivery of the Metropolitan Product Plan and SEQ Corridor Plans, supporting information gathering and analytics to deliver insights and key artefacts within agreed time frames.
  • Contribute to the development of comprehensive and accurate documentation that provides clear advice and direction on the development of high-quality product and corridor plans for the SEQ Line of Business which reflect organisational and functional strategies and priorities and support the achievement of Corporate Plan capital and operational expenditure targets.
  • Develop and maintain positive, cooperative, and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across Queensland Rail SEQ, Regional, Finance, Corporate Services, and other enterprise business groups to influence outcomes and ensure consistency within the organisation's governance frameworks, contributing to inputs for product, corridor, and other strategic planning documents.
  • Take a lead role in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of business-as-usual Product Planning processes and tools, working closely with the Manager Product Planning to improve operational efficiencies in the Product planning space.
