We are seeking a skilled Facilities Supervisor to support our client site in Melbourne, Australia. This role involves overseeing preventative and reactive maintenance, as well as minor capital and replacement works.
About the Role- Manage facilities-related requests and be the primary point of contact for clients.
- Schedule and supervise subcontractors, including inductions and safety briefings.
- Plan and coordinate operations, including maintenance schedules.
- Oversee the completion of reactive works from start to finish.
- Audit quality of cleaning staff performance.
- Conduct on-site meetings with clients and stakeholders.
- Carry out minor maintenance tasks, landscaping, and handyman duties.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, compliantly, and to a high standard.
- You should have at least 5 years of trade experience with strong hands-on skills.
- Supervising subcontractors and tradespeople experience is essential.
- Knowledge of maintenance trades and ability to assess work quality is required.
- A current driver's license (a company vehicle will be provided for on-site use).
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive approach to maintaining a safe working environment and resolving issues.
This role offers a unique blend of hands-on work and supervisory responsibilities. Approximately 50% of your time will involve practical tasks, while the remaining 50% will focus on management, safety compliance, and building relationships with clients and colleagues.
