A challenging role is available for an experienced professional to work as a Valuation Modelling and Economics Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking valuations of businesses and intangible assets, preparing valuation reports, and providing advice on strategic options for transformation initiatives.
About the Role
The Valuation Modelling and Economics team within our organization provides expert advice on preserving, optimizing, raising or investing capital. As a member of this team, you will work closely with clients to address their commercial, financial reporting, tax, regulatory matters or strategy related issues.
Main Responsibilities
- Undertake valuations of businesses and intangible assets for various purposes including management planning, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), tax, financial reporting and disputes.
- Prepare valuation reports, which may include assessment of strategic options for transformation initiatives and detailed financial modelling and analysis.
- Manage and prepare projects within each team.
- Think critically, identify issues and propose strategies related to the advice being provided.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting or business, with demonstrated aptitude in quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Approximately 3 to 7 years of related work experience.
- Direct experience utilizing various valuation techniques and methodologies (market comparables, discounted cash flow, etc) for different purposes.
- Experience in financial modelling in MS Excel and related software preferred.
- Excellent analytical, communication, organisational, interpersonal, and teaming skills.
