We are currently seeking an accomplished Fish Cutters to assume key responsibilities in our organization.

About the Role:

This part-time opportunity requires a minimum of 24 hours per week, with a varied schedule including weekend work and evening shifts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cutting and trimming raw fish using knives, maintaining equipment and knives for daily use, and ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment throughout the workday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cutting, cleaning, trimming, and preparing raw fish using knives
  • Monitoring the quality and freshness of product
  • Packing/wrapping fish using automatic and manual wrapping machines
  • Labeling merchandise and placing labeled/wrapped merchandise in display cases
  • Reworking display cases, filling, and rotating merchandise
  • Completing departmental paperwork as required
  • Performing weekly yield tests
  • FOLLOWING PROPER DEPARTMENT PRODUCTION PROCEDURES AND STANDARDS FOR QUALITY AND CONSISTENCY OF FINISHED MERCHANDISE
  • Cleaning and sanitizing work areas throughout the day
  • FOLLOWING SANITATION STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES (SSOP) GUIDELINES FOR CLEANING AND SANITATION OF ALL EQUIPMENT
  • COMPLETING AND COMPLYING WITH 11 COMMANDMENTS OF QUALITY ASSURANCE, FOOD SAFETY CERTIFICATION, DEPARTMENT-SPECIFIC TRAINING, AND ALL SAFETY TRAINING REQUIRED BY THE WAREHOUSE AND MEAT DEPARTMENT
  • COMPLIING WITH HEALTH CODES BY FOLLOWING SANITATION STANDARDS AND MAINTAINING PROPER TEMPERATURES
  • REMOVING RUBBISH FROM DEPARTMENTS AND WORK AREAS
  • OPERATING TRASH COMPACTORS AND CARDBOARD BALERS
  • TRANSFERRING CASES OF FISH FROM COOLERS TO PREPARATION AREAS
  • ASSISTING OTHER DEPARTMENTS IN THE WAREHOUSE
  • PROVIDING PROMPT AND COURTEOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE TO MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES, AND VENDORS
