Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee (ARIC) to provide independent assurance on our governance processes and overall performance.

As a member of ARIC, you will play a key role in reviewing aspects of Council's operations and providing advice to improve performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and advising on compliance, risk management, fraud control, financial management, and governance.
  • Overseeing the internal audit function to ensure its effective operation.
  • Providing expert guidance on ethical requirements and standards.

Selection Criteria

To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must possess:

  • Extensive senior level experience conducting financial statement audits or preparing financial statements.
  • The ability to read and understand financial statements and capacity to understand ethical requirements.
  • Possession of a relevant professional qualification or membership.
  • Functional knowledge in areas such as risk management, performance management, human resources management, and financial reporting.
  • A capacity to form independent judgements and willingness to constructively challenge/question management practices.
