The Events Coordinator plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality meetings, events, and conferences. This position requires strong attention to detail, creativity, customer service, collaboration, and effective communication.
The primary responsibility of the Events Coordinator is to coordinate all logistical aspects of event delivery from conception to on-the-day execution. This includes collecting and preparing feedback from clients, supporting relationships with key stakeholders, and maintaining a thorough understanding of venue management.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and execution of events and conferences
- Coordinate logistical aspects of event delivery, including venue management
- Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Fellows, Trainees, Staff, and specialty societies
- Support the development of event concepts and budgets
- Ensure smooth event execution, including setup, registration, and tear-down
- Collect and prepare feedback from clients and stakeholders
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Essential Skills:
- Proven experience in an event coordinator position
- A commitment to client service and strong interpersonal skills
- Proven track record of executing events and conferences
- Experience in administrative aspects of meetings, events, and conferences, including an understanding of venue management
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and events/meetings efficiently and effectively
- Excellent communication skills, including experience in speaking to small and large groups
- Professional personal presentation
- Outstanding organizational skills, initiative, and problem-solving ability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 2010, with particularly strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of IT platforms and ability to troubleshoot basic IT techniques
- Technical knowledge of webcasting platforms
