Biomedical Research Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled Biomedical Research Coordinator to support our team in the Centre for Dynamic Imaging.
About the position
- This role is ideal for an individual with experience in training and guiding researchers and students in the application of advanced microscopy techniques.
- You will provide expertise in data acquisition across various methods, including confocal, light sheet, and multiphoton microscopy.
The successful candidate will assist staff and students in designing experiments and acquiring microscopy data. They will also contribute to maintaining equipment and ensuring research compliance with safety and regulatory requirements on a day-to-day basis.
Key Qualifications- A Bachelor of Science with Honours or Masters in Biology, Biomedical Science, or a similar area of study.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Experience in 3D imaging of tissue using confocal microscopy.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated experience in tissue preparation and immunofluorescence staining.
- Knowledge of advanced instrumentation for light microscopy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced knowledge of scientific imaging techniques and analysis methods.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in confocal microscopy.
- Experience working in a core facility environment.
- Knowledge of other advanced microscopy techniques, such as 2-photon or light sheet microscopy.
- Experience in preclinical imaging techniques, such as bioluminescence imaging.
- Experience working in a medical research environment and in a class 2 containment laboratory.
