Cyber Security Specialist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our cyber operations team dedicated to protecting critical global networks against advanced cyber threats.

This role is part of a fast-paced environment that requires proven experience in threat hunting, incident response, and cyber threat intelligence. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a real impact in strengthening Australia's cyber resilience.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct proactive threat hunts across a large-scale network using SIEM tools.
  • Leverage Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) to strengthen hunting activities and improve detection capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain detection tools, use cases, and dashboards to enhance security posture.
  • Analyse security events and logs to identify anomalous activity and recommend enhancements.
Essential Criteria
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Cyber Security Incident Responder or Threat Hunter with strong proficiency in log analysis and threat detection.
  • Demonstrated use of frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK in incident response or threat hunting.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and testing detection use cases with Splunk and Sentinel.
  • Collaborative team player with strong knowledge-sharing skills and excellent written communication skills.
