Cyber Security Specialist Role

We are seeking a seasoned Cyber Security Specialist to spearhead our federal government department's cybersecurity endeavors.

This role involves conducting thorough risk assessments stemming from foreign acquisitions of sensitive data within Australia's critical infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in developing methodologies to evaluate the sensitivity and criticality of data across all critical infrastructure sectors, taking into account risks posed by aggregated datasets.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing effective risk mitigation strategies to manage national security threats and vulnerabilities
  • Providing expert advice to stakeholders on appropriate risk mitigation strategies
  • Building capacity and resilience within our Cyber and Infrastructure Security Operations Division
  • Contributing to the development of best practice guidelines for assessing security compliance

The successful candidate will possess strong technical knowledge and skills in cybersecurity, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills.
