Expert Cyber Security Consultant

We are seeking an expert Cyber Security Professional to join our team in a Contract role. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing security requirements and documentation updates in preparation for an upcoming IRAP assessment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cyber Security Advice: Deliver expert advice and guidance to the team on matters related to cyber security.
  • Security Controls: Interpret current security controls against updated ISM and SSPA controls and identify new controls required for compliance.
  • Documentation Updates: Update and maintain key security documentation, including SRMP, SSP, SSPA, Change Management Plan, and Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plan.
  • Risk Mitigation: Support platform security enhancements and recommend measures to mitigate risks.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • A certified ASD IRAP Assessor with a minimum of five years' technical ICT experience, including at least two years focused on information security for systems governed by the ISM and related publications.
  • Proficiency in implementing Australian Cyber Security Centre's Essential 8 strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, analyse, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application security issues.
Selection Criteria:
  1. Specialist Advice Level 5: Provides definitive and expert advice in their specialist area.
  2. Secure Operations Management Level 4: Develops or operates security management procedures and processes without close supervision.
  3. Policies and Standards Level 4: Incorporates recent advances in Information Security into existing policies and standards without supervision.
