Job Overview

We are seeking experienced professionals to join our team as Systems Engineers.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a range of projects, including providing systems and safety engineering expertise for nationally significant Defence projects, delivering systems engineering and safety assurance support for transport and infrastructure projects, and implementing machine learning and big data analytics to optimise the management of critical infrastructure.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and minimising technical risks to projects using proven Systems Engineering and Assurance approaches throughout the project lifecycle, from concept to commissioning.

You will also lead Verification and Validation efforts program across the project, ensuring user needs are captured and met through design and related activities.

You will engage and close coordination with project leadership and stakeholders, including Design, Construction, Software, Environmental, and Sustainability subject matter experts, to ensure technical compliance and support safety case submissions.

Your skills and experience will enable you to make a significant contribution to our team's success in delivering innovative engineering and technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply Systems Engineering principles and practices to identify and mitigate technical risks.
  • Lead Verification and Validation efforts to ensure user needs are met.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure technical compliance and support safety case submissions.
Requirements
  • Australian Citizenship or eligibility for an Australian Defence security clearance.
  • Bachelor of Engineering / Science Degree.
  • Experience within regulated industries / frameworks (e.g. Defence, transport, nuclear, pharmaceuticals).
  • Systems engineering knowledge and experience.
  • System safety and assurance experience.
  • Professional body membership (e.g. Engineers Australia, INCOSE / SESA).
  • Experienced in the application of systems engineering tools (e.g. DOORS, MBSE tools).
