Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Sydney CBD. The successful candidate will support the Engineering Department in providing scheduling, quality assurance, and project management support on all Geotechnical related matters for the transmission line team.

The Geotechnical Engineer will work closely with civil, structural, and electrical engineers to integrate geotechnical solutions into the overall construction delivery. They will also be responsible for preparing technical reports, drawings, and specifications, and participating in project meetings to provide geotechnical insights and recommendations.

The ideal candidate will possess relevant tertiary qualifications in BS in Geology or Engineering Geology, 3+ years' experience in Transmission Line infrastructure projects or similar large construction projects, and experience in tier 1 contractor experience.

Candidates should also have a strong understanding of Construction techniques, methodologies, and effective time management, organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Additionally, they should be able to manage effective relationships with the client, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications BS in Geology or Engineering Geology
  • 3+ years' experience in Transmission Line infrastructure projects or similar large construction projects
  • Experience in tier 1 contractor experience
  • Understanding of Construction techniques, methodologies
  • Able to manage effective relationships with the client, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
  • Well-developed time management, organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
