Horticulture Program Coordinator Job Description

This role involves coordinating the delivery of horticulture services to ensure Melbourne & Olympic Parks has world-class grounds and facilities. The Horticulture Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing site presentation strategies
  • Preparing annual site maintenance programs
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to deliver outstanding outcomes

The successful candidate will have a passion for detail, innovative thinking, and excellent leadership skills. They will also possess the ability to balance competing demands, focus on both small details and big-picture goals, and demonstrate a customer-focused approach.

About the Role

The Horticulture Coordinator will lead the horticulture program across the precinct, delivering site presentation to the highest standard. This includes planning and executing summer and winter annual garden displays, reconstructing and replanting green spaces, and enhancing nutrition and weed prevention programs.

  • Preparing and planning annual site maintenance programs
  • Participating in Australian Open planning to ensure site readiness and presentation standards
  • Managing service providers to maintain best practices
