Job Title: Infrastructure Service Manager

The role of the Infrastructure Service Manager is to lead and manage a team of system administrators and infrastructure experts, ensuring that IT infrastructure services and systems remain resilient, supportable, cost-effective, and secure.

This includes overseeing upgrades, maintenance, and overall system lifecycle to reduce downtime and boost efficiency. The Manager will also be responsible for managing vendor relationships, contracts, and services agreements, as well as maintaining accurate records of infrastructure assets.

In addition to technical skills, the role calls for strong leadership capabilities, including team development, project oversight, and strategic input. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage and lead a team of system administrators and infrastructure experts
  • Oversee upgrades, maintenance, and overall system lifecycle

About You:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual who can bring their expertise in IT infrastructure management to our team. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in IT infrastructure, with 7+ years of experience in systems administration, ideally supported by a Graduate Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology.

  • Required Skills:
  • Proficiency in managing both on-premises and cloud-based systems
  • Experience with virtualisation (VMware, Hyper-V), backup and disaster recovery (Veeam, Azure Site Recovery), and monitoring tools (PRTG, SolarWinds, Splunk)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server, SQL Server, and Red Hat Linux
  • Security and networking knowledge, with experience with firewalls, VPNs, SIEM tools, and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST
