About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Performance Audit Specialist to join our team at BDO. In this client-facing role, you will provide assurance services to our key clients through independent review of project estimates and contractual arrangements prior to contract execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in building and mentoring a team of highly skilled contract performance audit, internal audit, and risk advisory staff
  • Manage a portfolio of clients across a range of industry sectors, with a focus on risk, controls, and assurance
  • Supervise and undertake fieldwork, including scoping and delivering risk advisory engagements
  • Prepare high-quality written reports and deliverables, adhering to budgets and timelines
  • Internal and external stakeholder management to deliver bespoke solutions
  • Drive the continuous improvement of current practice processes, tools, and methodologies
  • Collaborate with senior management on continuous growth initiatives and business development of the practice
Requirements
  • Accounting, legal, or business-related tertiary qualification
  • Post-graduate professional qualifications (CA/CPA/CIA)
  • Experience with developing and reviewing internal audit scopes and statements of work
  • Solid experience in process mapping, risk, and control identification
  • Experience in presenting to senior management, boards, and ARCs
  • Exposure to latest best practices/methodologies/frameworks in regard to risk management, project management, records management, procurement/contract management, governance, legislative compliance, etc.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team
  • Australian driver's license and vehicle access (as travel outside of Brisbane Metro may be required)
