Perioperative Nursing Role

The role of a perioperative nurse is critical in ensuring the delivery of high-quality surgical care. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing advanced clinical support across all phases of perioperative nursing, including scrub/scout, anaesthetics, and recovery.

This position requires a highly skilled and motivated individual who can thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. The ability to provide clinical leadership and mentoring within the theatre setting is essential.

As a perioperative nurse, you will play a key role in delivering evidence-based nursing care and promoting patient safety and quality of care within scope of practice. You will also be responsible for collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive perioperative care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced clinical support across all perioperative nursing phases: scrub/scout, anaesthetics, and recovery.
  • Mentor junior staff and drive best practice standards within the Operating Theatre team.
  • Deliver evidence-based nursing care and promote patient safety and quality of care within scope of practice.
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive perioperative care.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Strong perioperative experience in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
  • Ability to provide clinical leadership and mentoring within the theatre setting.
