We are seeking an experienced Category Lead – Indirects to join our Supply Chain team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and implementation of category management strategies across areas such as IT, Facilities, Legal, Finance, Fleet and other allocated categories
  • Assist stakeholders in supply chain and procurement activities including cost optimisation, purchasing, forecasting and risk management
  • Contribute knowledge of supplier markets to help improve competitive advantage and service outcomes
  • Support the delivery of the Australia Sector supply chain roadmap to ensure alignment with group supply chain processes, systems and policy
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify, qualify and manage suppliers for tactical and strategic purchasing
  • Maintain awareness of compliance requirements for suppliers in a Defence and National Security environment
  • Implement a supply chain that supports business strategies, adapts to market changes and cost optimisation needs
  • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders, colleagues, suppliers and external partners to support best practice and consistency in sourcing

The ideal candidate will have a degree in a Business or Engineering discipline, solid experience in Procurement, Category Management or Supply Chain, and demonstrated experience contributing to business or project procurement activities.
