About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team, responsible for managing allocated indirect spend categories and contributing to key programs related to this strategically important and growing sector. The successful candidate will be based out of Melbourne, Canberra, Adelaide or Brisbane.

The Category Lead – Indirects will support the development and implementation of category management strategies across areas such as IT, Facilities, Legal, Finance, Fleet and other allocated categories. They will assist stakeholders in supply chain and procurement activities including cost optimization, purchasing, forecasting and risk management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the development and implementation of category management strategies
  • Assisting stakeholders in supply chain and procurement activities
  • Contributing knowledge of supplier markets to improve competitive advantage and service outcomes
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A Degree in a Business or Engineering discipline or equivalent experience
  • Solid experience in Procurement, Category Management or Supply Chain
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to business or project procurement activities
  • Experience with procurement and supply chain models within ERP systems
  • Exposure to integration and transformation programs desirable
  • Experience in a regulated environment ideally Defence or ISO regulated
  • Knowledge of end-to-end supply chain management, procurement and supplier engagement practices
