
Procurement Specialist

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing allocated indirect spend categories, developing and implementing category management strategies, and contributing to key programs related to the sector.
The role will involve supporting stakeholders in supply chain and procurement activities, including cost optimisation, purchasing, forecasting, and risk management. Additionally, the successful candidate will contribute knowledge of supplier markets to help improve competitive advantage and service outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in a business or engineering discipline, solid experience in procurement, category management, or supply chain, and demonstrated experience contributing to business or project procurement activities. Experience with procurement and supply chain models within ERP systems, exposure to integration and transformation programs, and experience in a regulated environment are also desirable.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing allocated indirect spend categories and developing and implementing category management strategies
- Supporting stakeholders in supply chain and procurement activities, including cost optimisation, purchasing, forecasting, and risk management
- Contributing knowledge of supplier markets to help improve competitive advantage and service outcomes
- Collaborating with other departments to identify, qualify, and manage suppliers for tactical and strategic purchasing
