Offshore Drilling Operations Supervisor

 

We are seeking a seasoned Drilling Operations Supervisor to lead our offshore drilling team in Guyana, South America. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient execution of well plans on an offshore rig.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures to mitigate risks and prevent accidents.
  • Collaborate with rig contractors to ensure that well control procedures are properly followed and emergency situations are effectively managed.
  • Monitor rig operations to provide feedback and input to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Develop and implement effective logistics strategies to ensure timely delivery of services and equipment necessary for drilling and completion operations.
  • Support onsite surveillance requirements for the operation, including kick detection, abnormal pressure detection, torque & drag, mud properties, and solids control efficiency.
  • Generate accurate and comprehensive operations reports to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Foster strong relationships with engineering and geology teams to ensure understanding of well objectives and procedural requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in rig supervisory or leadership roles for drilling and completions operations.
  • Valid offshore certifications/licences (Bosiet/T-Bosiet, CA-EBS, etc.).
  • Demonstrated expertise in well control upstream experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Working Conditions:

  • Rotation: 4 weeks on - 4 weeks off (84 hours per week).
  • Able to wear PPE for a 12-hour duration daily.
