Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Food and Beverage Operations Manager to lead our food and beverage teams at Pier One Sydney Harbour, a leading lifestyle hotel in Sydney. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for creating strategies, maintaining goals, and ensuring the highest level of service delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Director of Food & Beverage to create strategies and maintain goals.
  • Lead the Food & Beverage teams with day-to-day operations.
  • Ensure regular communication occurs in all areas of food and beverage.
  • Review financial reports and statements to determine how Food and Beverage is performing against budget.
  • Ensure cash control and liquor control policies are in place in food & beverage areas and followed by all related associates.
  • Ensure employees receive ongoing training to understand guest expectations.
  • Sets goals and expectations for direct reports using the performance review process and holds staff accountable for successful performance.
  • Hires food & beverage leadership team members who demonstrate strong functional expertise, creativity and entrepreneurial leadership to meet the business needs of the operation.
  • Creates an atmosphere in all food and beverage areas that meets or exceeds guest expectations.
  • Provides feedback to employees based on observation of service behaviors.

Requirements:

  • At least 2-4 years experience within the Food & Beverage industry within a management role.
  • An up-to-date RSA.
  • A genuinely warm and welcoming demeanor.
  • Energising motivation – it's infectious – no job is too big or too small.
  • A passion for the industry, a want to be the best in service – mind blowing to be precise – and the best in lifestyle.
