About the Role:

You'll join a robust team of experts dedicated to Photovoltaics, reporting directly to our Head of Process Engineering.

Your focus will be on optimising and developing our electroplating process & cell performance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and optimising solar cell electroplating processes
  • Qualifying novel electrochemistry for integration into our processing sequence
  • Developing waste management procedures
  • Designing and undertaking experiments to optimise electroplating processes
  • Characterising and analysing electroplating process performance
  • Facilitating technology developments to production line and beyond
  • Implementing and updating operating procedures
  • Maintaining documentation of processing materials

Requirements:

  • Practical engineering experience or science expertise (materials science/chemistry)
  • Undergraduate degree in engineering or chemical sciences
  • Previous experience in electrodeposition (lab or industrial setting)
  • Understanding/experience of solar cell processing sequence
  • Ability to design, execute, and analyse large processing experiments
  • Manufacturing experience in the solar industry or relevant industry
  • Experience with rapid technology development cycle
