About the Role

The Senior Director, Policy and Governance will oversee the development and delivery of policies and strategies that support increased information governance capability and maturity across the ACT Public Service. This role will work collaboratively across government to achieve shared goals, bringing a pragmatic approach to resolving differences and issues in situations with many competing stakeholders and interests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead teams and build organisation and team capacity in the management of strategic information and records management frameworks, procedures, or guidelines.
  • Develop, encourage and implement continuous improvements of business processes and systems in a customer-orientated team environment.
  • Exercise excellent judgement, inspire others and manage resources in a dynamic and agile environment.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in archives, records, information governance or related fields are highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to exercise excellent judgement, inspire others and manage resources in a dynamic and agile environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to the ACT Public Service values, workplace health and safety and inclusion and diversity principles and practices.

A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. This position currently operates in a hybrid capacity which includes working from home and in office under an activity-based working environment with unallocated desks when in the office.
