Leadership Role in Women's Legal Services

This senior leadership position presents an exceptional opportunity to contribute to a specialist women's legal service, providing trauma-informed and culturally safe legal support. Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality legal advice, casework, and representation in complex matters
  • Supervising and mentoring a team of solicitors to enhance their skills and performance
  • Acting as Principal Legal Officer when required to ensure seamless operations
  • Leading community outreach initiatives and delivering legal education to promote awareness and understanding
  • Fostering strong relationships with stakeholders across sectors to drive collaborative outcomes

Regular travel, including overnight stays, will be a part of this role.

About You

To succeed, you must possess:

  • Admission as a solicitor in Australia and eligibility for an NT Practising Certificate
  • Four or more years of post-admission experience in relevant practice areas
  • Experience or a strong interest in DFSV, family law, or child protection
  • Skills in trauma-informed, culturally safe practice, ideally with Aboriginal communities
  • Leadership and mentoring experience within a legal practice

In addition, the following requirements apply: Ochre Card, National Police Clearance, Manual Driver's Licence.
