Your primary role is to drive the development and achievement of goals for growth, service, and customer relations within the Major Accounts Division. You will contribute as a senior technical underwriter with respect to Property products.

Foster strong relationships with major customers and brokers by demonstrating our commitment to deploying global coverage and risk management capabilities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Meeting revenue targets
  • Underwriting process/analysis
  • Negotiating profitable transactions
  • Writing MD/BI portfolios in accordance with our underwriting strategy
  • Selecting new risks and underwriting renewals for assigned business
  • Providing technical leadership for underwriting/marketing
  • Maintaining a high level of understanding of pricing individual risk exposures

Production/Relationship Management:

  • Identifying new business opportunities
  • Cultivating prospects into future clients
  • Delivering quotations and participating in business development activities
  • Building long-term relationships with key producers and insureds
  • Reviewing performance reports and making recommendations

To succeed in this role, you must have 5 years' experience in property or package underwriting and development, with a high degree of technical underwriting ability. Strong communication skills are also essential, as well as the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Familiarity with advanced pricing techniques, marketing plans and complex accounts is required. A track record of high achievement in a team-based culture is necessary.
