We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join our team as a Strategic Partner. In this role, you will provide expert HR advice and support to managers across various business units within the NSW Department of Communities and Justice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide generalist HR advice and support to managers, promoting compliance with HR policies and best practices.
  • Contribute to and support change management initiatives, driving impactful change within the organization.
  • Support diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism initiatives, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
  • Resolve workplace issues, including grievances, and provide performance development and management support.
  • Contribute to improving workplace culture, supporting the implementation of the Annual Performance Management Program.
  • Support organizational and role design, case management, and other HR initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications in HR or a related discipline, and/or equivalent experience.
  • HR or relevant experience, preferably within the public sector or large, complex organizations.
  • Stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to develop strong partnering relationships with all levels of management.
  • Change management experience and/or a willingness to learn about organizational design.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present on a range of HR topics.
  • A collaborative style, with the ability to work with a range of stakeholders from different areas of the organization.
  • An understanding of legislative requirements and employee and industrial relations.
