Job Opportunity

This role is a key position within the Placemaking and Community Events team. We are seeking a highly organized professional who excels in community engagement and collaboration.

About the Role

  • Lead, deliver and develop projects that create positive outcomes for the community.
  • Utilize project management methodology to coordinate place-based initiatives.
  • Design and implement new event and activation ideas.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to staff members.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver community projects.
  • Develop and implement strategies to address community issues and achieve desired outcomes.

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or relevant job-related experience in social sciences, public policy, placemaking, urban development or similar areas.
  • Sound understanding of contemporary community development principles and practices.
  • Knowledge and expertise in placemaking principles and practices.
  • Current driver's license.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using online tools and web-based programs for community promotion and funding management.
