Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned legal professional to join our team as a Senior Legal Advisor.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in the financial services sector, particularly with large tenders, procurement, and technology. They will possess a deep understanding of relevant prudential standards and be able to provide expert legal advice to support strategic initiatives.

This role involves partnering closely with business units to identify and mitigate risks, as well as providing guidance on regulatory changes and compliance matters.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice and support to business units, senior leaders, and executives on various legal issues.
  • Assist with overall legal needs for major projects and transactions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve goals.

To be successful in this role, you will require a strong legal background, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to interpret complex legislation and implement policy and risk management strategies.

Requirements

You must hold a legal qualification and be admitted to practice in Australia. Previous experience in a similar role within the Banking and Financial Services sector is highly desirable.

In addition to your technical expertise, you should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
