About the RoleWe are seeking a reliable and compassionate individual to visit an elderly lady living in her own home in Bonnyrigg. The successful candidate will spend time with her over a cup of tea, engaging in conversation, watching favourite shows, and enjoying simple pleasures.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys spending time with others and making a difference in their lives. Even a 30-minute weekly or fortnightly visit can have a significant impact on the individual's day.
Responsibilities- Visit the elderly lady regularly (weekly or fortnightly) for approximately 30 minutes.
- Engage in conversation, watch TV shows, and enjoy activities together.
- Provide companionship and support to the individual.
- Aged 18 years or older.
- National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare.
- Make a positive impact in the life of an elderly individual.
- Develop new skills and experiences.
- Meet like-minded people and build relationships.
