The role of a Manufacturing Operations Director encompasses overseeing and driving significant improvements in safety, people, quality, efficiency, and cost across the site.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leveraging genuine safety-first leadership to set an example and ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Developing front line capabilities through continuous improvement and fostering Lean manufacturing practices to achieve high performance standards.
  • Establishing overall strategy and standards for efficiency enhancement and minimizing production downtime.
  • Managing daily and weekly production schedules to optimize production efficiencies and DIFOT targets.
  • Collaborating with Quality/Supply Chain and Engineering teams to optimize production performance and operational excellence.
  • Providing leadership, coaching, support, and performance management.
  • Maintaining ISO, HACCP, and GMP standards and practices.

This position requires strong problem-solving and analytical skills, effective communication skills to lead and inspire operations teams, and a proven background in continuous Improvement and change management experience.

Tertiary qualifications in Engineering/Manufacturing or related discipline are preferred alongside depth of experience in manufacturing leadership.
