Industrial Efficiency Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Operations Executive to lead our production team. As the leader of this team, you will own and drive value through safety, people, quality, efficiency, and cost.
You will be responsible for driving operational improvements across the site, acting as a catalyst for change. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading by Example: Demonstrate genuine safety-first leadership, leading by example and ensuring all policies, procedures, and processes are adhered to, understood, and practiced
- Developing Front Line Capabilities: Develop front line capabilities, continuous improvement, and fostering lean manufacturing practices to achieve high performance
- Setting Operational Standards: Set the overall strategy and standards for best-in-class efficiency, minimising production downtime
- Managing Production Schedule: Manage daily and weekly production schedule for achieving optimum production efficiencies and DIFOT
- Collaboration with Quality/Supply Chain and Engineering: Work closely with Quality/Supply Chain and Engineering to optimise production performance and ensure operational excellence in all areas of production
- Leadership and Coaching: Provide leadership, coaching, support, and performance management
- Ensuring Compliance: Ensure all ISO, HACCP, and GMP standards and practices are achieved
The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to inspire, develop, and transform a strong tenured team. They will also possess:
- A visible belief and demonstrated leadership in driving a Zero Harm culture
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing techniques
- A working background in a manufacturing environment, embracing operational excellence
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong and effective communication skills to lead and inspire the operations team
- A proven background in continuous Improvement and change management experience
- Outstanding aptitude to communicate with a wide range of people, coupled with coaching and development skills
- The ability to balance production, safety, and resources
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering/Manufacturing or a related discipline are preferred, in addition to depth of experience in manufacturing leadership.
