Electrical Field Technician

This is a challenging opportunity to work as an electrical field technician in the renewable energy infrastructure sector. The ideal candidate will have experience working with medium and high voltage equipment, electro-mechanical systems, and SCADA systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex electro-mechanical systems
  • Perform precise electrical and mechanical debug, rework, and repair tasks
  • Work safely in medium and high voltage environments
  • Develop and follow best practices for maintenance activities related to electrical equipment
  • Maintain communication within the organization; provide regular updates
  • Support other teams and roles as needed
  • Ensure operations and maintenance requirements are met across power generation and transmission sites
Requirements
  • Certified electrician (Cert III or equivalent) with a strong background in electrical technology
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the utility sector, including at least 3 years working with medium and high voltage equipment
  • Up-to-date electrical registration/licensing
  • Experience with HV switching and SCADA systems
  • Ability to read electrical diagrams and mechanical drawings
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to work outdoors and on irregular schedules
  • Valid driver's license
