Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our team at KY Innovation. The successful candidate will work closely with our research team to develop novel visual-inertial systems for autonomous navigation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement advanced algorithms for multi-camera visual-inertial SLAM technology
  • Evaluate and validate the accuracy and robustness of the solutions
  • Collaborate with project academics, engineers, and PhD students to integrate algorithms with other modules to achieve autonomy
  • Contribute to the creation of a demonstrator system showcasing the research
  • Prepare project reports and presentations, and disseminate findings at top international conferences and journals
Requirements:
  • PhD (or near completion) in Robotics, Computer Vision, or a related discipline
  • Strong background in mathematics and experience with programming languages such as C, C++, C#, and Python
  • Knowledge of multiple view geometry, visual tracking, estimation, visual-inertial SLAM, and calibration techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage diverse stakeholders and coordinate multiple project objectives
