Job Title: Skilled Tradesperson - Mechanical/Electrical Specialist

We are seeking a skilled tradesperson to join our team as a mechanical/electrical specialist. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical systems, with a strong focus on preventative maintenance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

 * Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical issues in a fast-paced production environment

 * Performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is running efficiently

 * Collaborating with the engineering team to identify and implement improvements to our processes and systems

The ideal candidate will have:

 * A trade qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering

 * Experience working in a manufacturing or processing environment

 * Strong communication and problem-solving skills

 * Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that machinery, plant, and equipment are safe and working efficiently. This includes performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical issues, and collaborating with the engineering team to identify and implement improvements to our processes and systems.

Key responsibilities:

• Preventative and corrective maintenance on automated systems

• Analyzing information and use of root cause and prevention techniques to solve breakdowns and problems

• Electrical (limited) and mechanical fault finding with troubleshooting on automated systems

• Working towards increasing equipment reliability by continuously improving and initiating process and support and minimizing equipment downtime

To be successful in this role, you will require:

• Previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or processing environment

• Knowledge within the glass industry is advantageous

• Mechanical or Electrical trade qualified (Dual trades highly regarded)

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Self-sufficient with a positive attitude

• Are a team player and highly motivated
