Tradesperson Position Overview

This is a fantastic opportunity to work as a skilled Tradesperson in our Asset Management Team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, alteration or repair work of plant and equipment in accordance with relevant qualifications, skills, and competency level.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance, alteration or repair work of plant and equipment
  • Supporting objectives and goals across various facilities
Requirements:
  • Relevant NSW Trade Certificate/Licence and/or current Qualified Supervisors Certificate
  • Demonstrated high level of computer skills, with ability and willingness to use management systems, Microsoft office, and other computing systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Australian Standards relating to installations in hospitals, with ability to acquire new skills and keep up to date with trade developments
  • Demonstrated high level of skill in fault diagnosis and rectification in plant and equipment, including successful experience in preventative and corrective maintenance of plant and equipment and distribution systems
  • Highly developed communication skills with ability to liaise with staff including trade work colleagues, clinicians, clients, and supervisors in regard to repairs and scheduling of works, and when providing technical advice
  • Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and as a member of a team
  • Work consistent hours of operation with main work centre, and assist with provision of afterhours and emergency response and repairs. This includes participation in on call roster as required
  • Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers' licence and ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays
Additional Information:

This is a Category 'B' position. All new employees must agree to comply with requirements outlined in policy directive PD2024_015. OASV requirements also include proof of vaccination against influenza and is compulsory for NSW Staff that enter any Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) or who work in NSW Health owned and operated RACFs
