Job Title

Transport Advisory Expert Required

We are seeking a highly experienced Transport Advisory expert to lead our team in shaping the future of transport advisory services. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of the practice, including operational direction, technical expertise, and business administration.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in railway operations and maintenance, with a proven track record of ensuring operational readiness for major rail projects. They will also possess excellent technical, project management, and communication skills to lead the delivery of strategic and technical advisory engagements.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Contributing to delivery of projects across the whole lifecycle – from strategic demand and operations planning during feasibility studies or business case phase, through development of operational plans and requirements during procurement, and onto delivery and operational readiness.
  • Manage all aspects of relevant consultancy assignments undertaken by team members including allocation, estimating, tendering, planning, execution and close out.
  • Ensure that each assignment or project is undertaken by individuals or by teams having appropriate levels of qualifications, professional expertise, and experience.
  • Prepare responses to 'Requests for Tender' and other bidding opportunities, involving team members as appropriate.
  • Develop business plans in support of the identified ideas and champion their development and implementation.
  • Establishing a win-work culture within the team, with opportunity pipeline recorded and managed within CRM.
Requirements And Qualifications
  • Degree qualified in a relevant subject such as engineering, transportation planning or related field.
  • Extensive experience in railway operations and maintenance, including ensuring operational readiness for major rail projects.
  • Excellent technical, project management, and communication skills to lead the delivery of strategic and technical advisory engagements.
  • Able to engage with and represent the organization in front of senior stakeholders and government representatives.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas to senior non-specialists, including writing and presentation skills.
