About this role:
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a holistic and compassionate environment where you will have the chance to make a real difference in people's lives.
As a pastoral practitioner, your main responsibility will be to provide spiritual care and support to patients and clients.
You will need to identify and respond to their spiritual needs, assess and reflect on communication with them, and employ active listening skills to respond compassionately.
Establishing professional boundaries and complying with organisational requirements are also essential aspects of the role.
You will partner with multidisciplinary teams to develop spiritual care plans, advocate for patients/clients, and facilitate client empowerment.
Leading prayer, worship, and rituals, and preparing meaningful ceremonies are key responsibilities.
This role requires flexibility, including evening/weekend shifts and on-call duties.
To be successful, you will have demonstrated capability in establishing therapeutic relationships, delivering rituals, and respecting cultural and religious beliefs.
Above all, people will be at the core of everything you do, committing to and supporting our Mission and Values.
The ideal candidate will have a tertiary level qualification in a relevant field or prior experience in pastoral care.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are vital, along with a commitment to flexible work options and well-being programs.
