About the Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and collaborative Senior Analytics Engineer to drive data-driven decision-making across our portfolio of Group marketplace businesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner closely with marketplace sellers and internal business teams to understand their unique goals and pain points.
  • Identify common data use cases that drive value across the portfolio and prioritise initiatives with the highest potential impact.
  • Design and develop reusable data models, metrics, and dashboards in Looker to provide a unified view of marketplace performance.
  • Leverage dbt to develop and maintain efficient data pipelines in Big Query that extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
  • Apply statistical methods and machine learning techniques to analyse data across the portfolio, identifying cross-business trends and opportunities for optimisation.
Requirements
  • Data Harmonisation Expertise: Proven experience integrating and standardising disparate datasets.
  • Data Modelling Expertise: Proven ability to design and implement flexible and scalable data models.
  • Familiarity with dbt and Look ML: Expertise in using dbt for transformation and Look ML for data modelling in Looker.
  • SQL Expertise: Exceptional SQL skills for querying, transforming, and analysing large datasets within Big Query.
  • Business acumen: A strong understanding of business strategy and the ability to translate business needs into data-driven solutions.
