Location
The position will be based at a private hospital in a South East suburb of Melbourne, with easy access to the CBD. This location offers a great work-life balance, with opportunities to explore the city and its surroundings during downtime.
Job Summary
We are looking for an Exercise Physiologist who is passionate about delivering high-quality care to patients. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with a range of conditions, from chronic disease management to rehabilitation and fitness programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to identify their physical fitness levels and develop personalized exercise programs
- Provide one-on-one and group exercise sessions to patients, focusing on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and overall health
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and outcomes
- Develop and maintain accurate records of patient progress and treatment plans
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or a related field
- Current registration with the relevant professional body (e.g. Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals
- Experience working in a private hospital setting, preferably in a similar role
