Exercise Physiologist

The Role
At Belgravia Leisure, we are seeking an Accredited Exercise Physiologist to join our team at the Mornington Peninsula Aquatic & Leisure Facilities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exercise interventions and education to our members, with a focus on chronic disease, NDIS, injury, and surgical rehabilitation, as well as healthy population clientele.
We are committed to a patient-centred outcome-based approach to clinical management, and the successful applicant will assess and deliver customized exercise interventions to support the management of injuries or conditions. Our Exercise Physiologists establish strong relationships with local stakeholders and referral pathways to support the progress and outcomes of our clients.
This part-time opportunity will begin with the ability to increase to full-time hours. Key Accountabilities include:
- Provision of exercise intervention and education for those at risk of developing a chronic condition or injury.
- Provision of clinical exercise prescription for those with existing chronic and complex medical conditions and injuries.
- Provision of health education, advice, and support to enhance health and wellbeing.
- Development and promotion of Exercise Physiology within the Centre and wider community.
- Facilitation of group-oriented rehabilitation classes.
- Liaison with other medical professionals involved in patient rehabilitation.
The successful applicant must have or be eligible as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with Exercise and Sport Science Australia.
