Director of Teaching and Learning

A highly regarded private school in Northern Brisbane is seeking an innovative and dedicated leader to join their team as the Director of Teaching and Learning for the Primary Years.

This role will shape and inspire a forward-thinking approach to education, supporting the teaching team to bring out the best in each student's learning journey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pedagogical Leadership: Coach and observe teachers, mentor staff in pedagogy, and instruction, and offer professional development.
  • Staff Engagement: Ensure engagement is high, and feedback is accessible and up-to-date.
  • Curriculum Oversight: Manage the whole school curriculum plan, keeping it aligned with current educational trends.
  • Industry Connections: Establish industry partnerships to provide real-world learning pathways for students.
  • Educational Trends: Research and inform teachers on emerging trends and curriculum initiatives.
  • Assessment Management: Oversee NAPLAN and PAT testing, ensuring data-driven instructional decisions.
  • Teacher Empowerment: Encourage teachers to be curriculum designers and take instructional risks.
  • Leadership Support: Act as Head of Campus when required.

The ideal candidate will have relevant qualifications, preferably at master's level, QCT registration, Christian faith, at least three years' experience in a similar role, amazing communication and leadership skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality teaching.
