Position Summary:

Cedar Glen Property Maintenance Inc. is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager who excels in overseeing the operational aspects of facility management. This role requires a dynamic individual who can manage complex operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all weekend operations to ensure adherence to contractual performance indicators.
  • Promptly review and authorize contractor work permits to facilitate timely project completion.
  • Conduct safety assessments for all weekend work assignments.
  • Coordinate with the Operations Centre to assign tasks to subcontractors efficiently.
  • Ensure urgent work requests are followed up with subcontractors for swift resolution.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to regional management regarding work progress and activities.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and regional managers as tasks progress.
  • Manage and respond to alerts generated from Building Management Systems, creating work orders as necessary.
  • Facilitate vendor access as required to complete maintenance tasks.
  • Review and approve payment claims for completed work.
  • Champion customer service excellence through proactive engagement.
  • Lead and manage both employees and subcontractors through effective communication and leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety and Environmental policies among all parties involved.
  • Monitor and report on the compliance of essential services.
  • Promote a positive and cohesive work environment through effective leadership.
  • Encourage communication across regions to share best practices and innovations.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Facilities Management, Property Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of current Workplace Health and Safety, Quality Assurance, and environmental regulations.

Experience:

  • Demonstrated success in integrated services and property management, delivering Facilities Management Services.
  • Strong understanding of business operations and contract management.
  • Proven experience in managing relationships with external clients and contractors.
  • In-depth knowledge of current technical regulations related to Facilities Maintenance.
  • Experience in high-risk industries, such as aviation.
  • Hands-on management experience with medium-sized contract teams.
  • Experience supervising subcontractor performance.
  • Ability to work within quality assurance, occupational health and safety, and environmental management systems.
  • Proficient in using desktop applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
