We are seeking a Senior Construction Lawyer to join our team.

Job Overview:

You will advise clients across the full spectrum of construction law, from contract drafting to litigation and dispute resolution. Our matters span diverse industries, including property development and energy projects, involving complex tender and contract documentation.

You will work closely with partners and clients on major projects, mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to the growth of the practice.

The successful candidate will be part of a team of exceptional lawyers recognised for their expertise in both construction transactions and disputes.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Advising clients on construction and infrastructure projects, including drafting and negotiating major project documentation, contracts, consultancy agreements, and tender documentation.
  • Advise clients on risk allocation, compliance, and regulatory matters affecting construction and infrastructure projects.
  • Managing complex construction disputes, including litigation, arbitration, expert determinations, and adjudications (across various jurisdictions in Australia).
  • Conduct legal research and prepare high-quality written advice, correspondence, and submissions.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships through proactive communication and service delivery.
  • Supporting business development initiatives and contributing to thought leadership in the construction and infrastructure sector.
  • Contributing to a collaborative team culture, supervising and mentoring junior lawyers, providing guidance and feedback to support their development.
