Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Legal Counsel to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who possess strong legal knowledge and experience in corporate, commercial, and financial services.

  • Undertake the review of marketing material to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Provide corporate legal, commercial, and governance advice to all businesses.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts.
  • Offer insurance product advice and documentation.
  • Interpret statutes and provide advice on legislative reforms impacting the business.
  • Support corporate litigation.
  • Advise on complaints and potential disputes.
  • Deliver staff legal training.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications (LLB or equivalent).
  • Current Australian Legal Practitioner Practising Certificate.
  • Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience in a mid or top-tier firm.
  • Experience in private practice providing commercial legal advice.
  • Previous experience working in an insurance and/or Australian financial services environment (desirable).
  • A pragmatic and commercial focus.
  • Highly developed stakeholder and people management skills.
  • Strong written and spoken language skills.
