Position: Registered Nurse – Substance Use and Prescription Medication

· Inpatient Care Unit - 44 beds

· Full-time and part-time positions available

· Hourly Rate: $39.66 - $52.97 plus superannuation

· Rotating 7-day schedule including evenings

Role Overview:

Are you a Registered Nurse with a focus on Mental Health or Addictions, looking for a fulfilling career opportunity? Healthscope is seeking qualified Registered Nurses specializing in addiction disorders to become part of our well-established inpatient unit, available for both full-time and part-time roles.

Key Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, patients, and families to make informed decisions regarding care, fostering positive relationships.

· Provide high-quality nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized treatment plans.

· Engage in Safety Huddles and Complex Case Reviews.

· Maintain a standard of care aligned with your experience and education, ensuring high-quality nursing care in a safe environment.

· Create and apply strategies that promote effective communication.

· Actively contribute to Quality Improvement, service enhancement, and patient safety initiatives within the clinic.

Healthscope operates a 44-bed inpatient unit and a dedicated day patient unit within a private hospital setting. Candidate Profile:

To excel in this role, you should meet the following criteria:

· Current registration with AHPRA

· A strong interest in addictive behaviors, with specialization, substantial experience, or postgraduate qualifications in the field

· Proven ability to deliver exceptional patient care.

· Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.

· Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.

· Excellent time management and organizational abilities.

· Postgraduate qualifications in mental health or addiction disorders (desirable)
