Job Role

The role of an Associate, Relationship Manager involves managing and maintaining client relationships with Japanese corporations. This position plays a vital part in collaborating with business and product partners to achieve profit targets.

In this role, you will be responsible for initiating RORA improvements and profit growth within your designated portfolio. You will also support department KPIs and team objectives while serving as the primary contact for client communications and visits.

Additionally, you will coordinate with internal teams to promote banking services to clients. Understanding clients' financial statements and assessing risks (credit, business, compliance) is crucial in this position. Building trust with global relationship managers, product, and business partners is also essential.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business and product partners to achieve profit targets.
  • Initiate RORA improvements and profit growth within your designated portfolio.
  • Support department KPIs and team objectives.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to promote banking services to clients.
  • Assess risks (credit, business, compliance) and understand clients' financial statements.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in financial institutions, accounting firms, consultancies, or equivalent roles.
  • Degree in Banking, Commerce, Finance, or Accounting; relevant qualifications preferred.
  • Experience in sales and marketing with knowledge of banking products and managing corporate clients.
  • Experience working with international clients is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills for clear financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong influencing and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent Japanese language skills are preferred.
